While the Arrowbear Lake Fire Department may not always be hiring, we are always accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Firefighter or Firefighter Trainee. Below you will find the qualifications for each position, and invite you to submit an application if you feel you meet the minimum qualifications necessary to be part of our department.

• High school diploma or general education development (GED) is required
• 21 years old at the time of appointment
• Possession of a valid Class C California Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
• Completion of a California Accredited Basic Fire Academy or California State Fire Marshal Firefighter 1 Certification
• Must possess a valid California Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license. License shall be maintained throughout tenure with the department

• 21 years old at the time of appointment
• Possession of a valid Class C California Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
• Must possess a valid California Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license. License shall be maintained throughout tenure with the department
• For this position, an academy is not required, as this classification is designed and intended to attend the Arrowbear Lake Fire Departments internal tower
